We have worked with a landscape architect, visitors and families and now have a final design and planning permission. The play space will link to major historical events and people and exciting and mysterious myths and legends.
We're most excited about the Central 'Longhouse' multi activity timber play structure based on the theme of an Anglo-Saxon longhouse with a viewing platform over looking the site and Roman themed latrine seating.
The play area will fire the imagination of visitors, young and old.
We are exploring grants however need your help to kickstart our fundraising - every pound raised will make a vital difference in building better places and better lives, sparking imagination through culture and play at Jarrow Hall Anglo-Saxon Farm, Village and Bede Museum.
