Christmas Appeal: A Parcel of Hope for Stratford-upon-Avon Foodbank

Joanna fled domestic abuse with her daughter and found safety in Stratford-upon-Avon. With help from the foodbank, she rebuilt her life. Will you give a parcel of hope to someone in crisis this Christmas?

Closes 09/01/2026

Stratford-upon-Avon Foodbank works tirelessly to stop people going hungry and provides practical support to help lift people out of poverty. As well as providing emergency food parcels, we partner with organisations to get people the support they need when going through some really tough times.

Story

“I stood in January with my daughter, crushed by the weight of our reality. But when we arrived at the foodbank, my shame lifted. I could breathe. My child could eat. And for the first time in years, someone saw me.”

Joanna fled domestic abuse and arrived in Stratford-upon-Avon with nothing but hope for a safer future. Thanks to the foodbank, she found warmth, dignity, and the support she needed to rebuild her life.

💛 Your gift can make a real difference:

£25 funds a specialist welfare advisor to attend a foodbank session

£40 covers the cost of feeding a small family like Joanna's for three days over Christmas

£180 covers the costs associated with running a food distribution session

Today, Joanna has a home, her daughter is thriving, and their fridge is full. But many others in our community are still facing hardship this Christmas.

Foodbanks offer more than food: they offer hope, practical support, and a path forward. Your donation could be the lifeline someone needs.

Every donation, large or small, helps us bring a parcel of hope to someone in crisis. Please give what you can, and help us make Stratford-upon-Avon a place of sanctuary this Christmas.
