Support Cotswold Canals Trust: Sponsor the Final Stretch of the Lake 6 Accessible Path

The Cotswold Canals Trust is a volunteer-led charity working to restore and reconnect the historic canals of Gloucestershire. Our mission is to bring life back to the waterways – improving access, enhancing biodiversity, and creating safe, inclusive spaces for everyone to enjoy.

Our latest project is creating an accessible circular route at the Cotswold Lakes, connecting the Gateway Centre to the bottom of Lake 6 behind the DeVere hotel. Once completed, it will offer a beautiful, fully inclusive path for walkers, families, wheelchair users and nature lovers alike – all in a peaceful lakeside setting.

Thanks to Cotswold National Landscape grant funding, Cotswold Canals Trust match funding, and a huge effort from our volunteers, most of the path is already in place. But to complete it, we need a little more help.

We're inviting the public to sponsor the final stretch and bring this special project to life in time for the busy summer season. Based on project costs, we estimate:

£15 will fund one foot of path

£50 will fund one metre

This path has already been warmly welcomed by visitors. With your help, we can make sure it’s finished, safe, and accessible to all.
