Story

For over 30 years HCF has played an instrumental role in supporting Hertfordshire's communities, and the recent developments surrounding Covid-19 will create unprecedented challenges for our voluntary sector.

HCF is now urgently raising funds to support voluntary groups providing care and support for elderly and vulnerable people hit by the social and economic impact of the coronavirus.

Donations will be targeted, in the form of grants, at local charities supporting local people facing a range of social issues including social isolation, food poverty, poverty and poor mental health.

Please help HCF to help our much-needed voluntary sector at this time.

Thank you.

In the unlikely event that funds raised through this appeal outstrip demand any remaining funds will be distributed via HCFs Love Herts fund which supports local groups addressing social need.

Every pound donated will be awarded in grants. HCF will however take 50% of any gift aid claimed on donations to help cover the associated costs of distributing the fund.

About the charity

HCF exists to improve the lives of people living in Hertfordshire. Donations are pooled and given out as grants to small local charities and voluntary groups. Grants can be for both new initiatives and existing projects. Your gift will help our county's most vulnerable residents.
