Story
We have recently taken in a tiny 7-week-old Miniature Dachshund puppy called Harriet, who is suffering from a serious bilateral inguinal hernia affecting both sides of her abdomen. This condition is considered to be a genetic trait, so what started off as unnoticeable has grown bigger and bigger as she has grown.
Harriet needs urgent surgery to fix these hernias before they put too much pressure on her organs. If left alone these hernias could become strangulated hernias and cut off the blood supply to the tissue trapped in the hernia, which then becomes a medical emergency.
Harriet is a very sweet and tiny little puppy who we are determined to help as soon as possible. We would be so grateful for anyone who could donate towards her appeal and help us raise the vital funds needed for her urgent surgent”.
It is estimated it will cost £3,000 for all the surgery, treatment and medication that Harriet will need now and into the future, as well as basic care such as neutering, flea and worm treatment and vaccinations.
Gables does not receive any government funding and we are battling with ever increasing costs, but are determined to help Harriet as soon as possible.
