Mid-Lin started back in 1991 as a Community Cafe and Drop In. Over the years, it became a lunch club for older people and in 2003 became a day centre for adults and older people in Dundee. Here at Mid-Lin our motto is, "We care because you matter" and that is at the heart of everything we do. 2020 was a difficult year for everyone, but older people in particular experienced a significant increase in isolation and loneliness. Mid-Lin have responded to this by adapting and altering our services, developing a new outreach service to provide essential support to people in their own homes while group settings were closed.

Now, our day service has re-opened and our Outreach service is growing too. While the pandemic and its effects are still being felt, we feel it is a time of hope. And, it doesn't hurt that everyone is in need of a little celebration!!

2021 marks the 30th year of Mid-Lin's operation and we want to make the most of it. Alongside our ladies and gentlemen, our volunteers and staff are taking on a challenge. We want to raise as much as we can for Mid-Lin by stepping up to plate (see what I did there ;) ) and taking 1 million steps in the centre.

All the money we raise will be used on activities for our service users to offer as many opportunities as we can for stimulation and interaction.
