Story
The Mayor of Morpeth has chosen the British Heart Foundation as her Charity of the Year, reflecting the importance of heart and circulatory health and the impact this cause has on so many people within the community.
Heart disease affects families across Morpeth and beyond, and the Mayor is keen to use her year in office to raise awareness of the British Heart Foundation’s lifesaving work. This includes supporting vital research, promoting heart health education such as CPR training, and encouraging the community to come together through fundraising and local events.
Throughout the year, the Mayor looks forward to working in partnership with the British Heart Foundation, local organisations and residents to shine a light on an issue that touches so many lives. By supporting the BHF, she hopes to help make a real difference locally while contributing to national efforts to prevent heart disease and save lives.
