On the night of the 28th February 2022, the Mullumbimby Creek broke its banks after receiving record rainfall of more than a metre of rain in 24 hours; causing catastrophic damage to our school and property.

We need your help to get our school back on its feet, and our students back learning and connecting, sooner. This is the third week without school that our young people have experienced. We need to support the school and our community so that our children can return to their peers, teachers and school environment.

The flooding across the school has been widespread. Our library and books have been lost, our drama room with its stage, sets and costumes collected over generations has been wiped out, our three pianos and musical instruments are irreparable.

Our sports shed was inundated and all of equipment has been condemned..

Our vital Breakfast Club kitchen, used for serving free breakfasts to our most vulnerable students has been destroyed, including fridges, microwave, kettles, toasters. For some of our students this is their most nutritious meal of the day.

Our focus is getting our kids back to school and learning as soon as we can, and we need funding now to replace all the items that won't be covered by insurance.

Resources to get our kids back learning with their peers as quickly as possible.

Student wellbeing, including uniforms, shoes and supporting students to attend camps and excursions.

Breakfast club equipment - fridges, toasters and food for our displaced students.

Musical instruments.

Sporting equipment - yoga mats, sports uniforms, high jump mats, netballs, volleyballs.

Drama - costumes
