Great North Run and Great North 5k for Options and Together 21

Staff, parents and members will be running the Great North 5k in aid of PCP services Together 21 and Options. With PCP Deputy Chief Executive Liz Fisher running the Great North Run raising vital funds for both services.

The Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP) has grown to become a highly respected, award-winning charity, recognised locally for its contribution in relation to health improvement, social care, education, employment and training. PCP’s mission is: ‘Health, Wellbeing and Learning for All'.

Story

On 5 September, parents, staff, and service users of Together 21 and Options will take part in the Great North 5k in support of Pioneering Care Partnership with the funds raised being split equally between both services

And on 7 September, our very own Deputy Chief Executive Liz Fisher will be running the Great North Run for the same cause.

Options is a member-led service for adults with learning and physical disabilities. Members are at the heart of the PCP day service, with members making informed choice on activities and educational sessions to promote independence and social inclusion.

Together 21 provides a wide range of fun learning activities to help children and young people, aged 0 to 17 with Down Syndrome to develop key skills.

The activities provide the opportunity to build friendships within peer groups as well as support their development in reaching their full potential. This is a chance for parents to get to know each other, providing a vital friendship and peer support network for families.

Any donations are welcomed and they will help us continue empowering our children, young people and adults to thrive. Every step we take is powered by your generosity. Thank you for being part of our journey
