As we are now well into winter and the weather is getting colder, our ponies need some extra feed to help them through the winter.

WHY DO WE GIVE OUR PONIES A FEED WHEN THEY HAVE GRASS AND HAY?

* To give them vitamins and minerals which are lacking in the grass and hay

* Some of our older ponies struggle to eat grass and hay due to dental issues as they have got older. The extra feed helps to keep weight and condition on them

* To disguise any medication they may need
