Torus has over 11,000 older tenants and residents who live in single-person households across Liverpool, St Helens and Warrington, and over 1,400 of these are aged 80 or over.

Older people living alone in social housing are disproportionately affected by poverty, ill-health and loneliness, and without the Torus Christmas Campaign, some of these people would not otherwise receive any gifts over the festive period.

Through our 2023 Christmas Campaign we are aiming to hand-deliver Christmas Gifts to 500 older people living in Torus homes during December.

Last year, the generous support from Torus group colleagues, suppliers and local businesses allowed us to deliver presents to more than 400 vulnerable older people, and we’re aiming to spread the Christmas cheer even further this year!
