What is our event?

On Saturday the 20th of September, the 5th Woodbridge Sea Scouts will be undertaking a sponsored walk down the River Deben. All sections will walk from different starting points, meeting together in Woodbridge for a group BBQ and awards ceremony.

Why are we fundraising?

5th Woodbridge Sea Scouts is a thriving, active group where young people build skills for life on land and water. We’re proud of our legacy and our riverside location – but we need your support to help us continue offering high-quality opportunities for all.

Your donations will go toward:

• 🛠️ Renovating and improving our Scout Hut to create a safer, more accessible, and welcoming environment for all

• ⚓ Repairing and renewing our boats and water sports equipment, vital for our river-based adventures

• 👨‍👩‍👧 Supporting local families, ensuring every young person can take part, regardless of financial circumstances

How can you help?

We hope that up to 80 young people will take part in this event and they will all be collecting sponsorship separately. If one of the participants asks you for sponsorship, thank you for your generous donation in support of their participation.
