Story

All over the world people are searching for ways to help the thousands who have had to leave their homes in the current refugee crisis.

Many young people have been forced to interrupt their studies, and put their future career plans on hold.

A group of graduate students in Cambridge is taking action to help their peers, in a meaningful way, by crowd funding towards a scholarship at the University of Cambridge.

The scholarship will be awarded to a refugee student taking a Master's degree in any subject in 2017-18.

Many fundraising events have already taken place, and over £9,000 has been raised - this is being held securely by the Cambridge Trust until the sum is sufficient to pay for the fees and living expenses of a refugee student in Cambridge.

About the charity

We are fundraising towards a 'Students of Cambridge Scholarship', which will enable a refugee student to take a one-year Masters degree at the University of Cambridge in 2017-18. Many students and academics around the University, and further afield, have already given generously.
