Centre 404 play structure appeal

Organised by Centre 404

In memory of Victoria and Lisa, two of our long standing service users, who sadly passed away, we are fundraising for a multi-sensory play structure for the garden of Centre 404.

Centre 404 is working towards a world where people with learning disabilities and their families have the support they need to enjoy the same rights, freedom, responsibilities, respect, choices and quality of life as people within the wider community.

Story

Centre 404 has a wonderful garden in a borough with very few parks or open spaces.  Our garden is much loved and well used, however feedback from our service users and Play England shows that there is a need for more child-friendly and sensory equipment at our centre.

At the end of our garden is a sad, dilapidated area. We plan to erect an exciting new play structure with a climbing wall, rope ladder and slide.  The structure will be suitable for use by both children and adults, including those who are full time wheelchair users.

The structure will be accessible to the 1,600 families who use Centre 404’s services, supporting the development of cognitive, motor and sensory skills and enabling them to enjoy the outdoor space.
