Story
Tis' the season of giving and we are working hard to reach our target by the end of the year. We have our annual Christmas Jumper Day planned for Friday 15th December and our brand new Christmas Raffle which will be launched with the appeal. Give us the gift of your support and help local children with disabilities.
We receive requests from individuals and organisations to provide items such as trikes, powered wheelchairs, beds, sensory equipment, IT equipment, specialised seating and hydrotherapy systems. This equipment is not supplied or funded by the NHS or Social Services and as it is often costly, families are unable to buy the equipment themselves. The Chronicle Sunshine fund fundraises continuously throughout the North East to be able to support as many of these children as possible and pay for the equipment they so desperately need. Our income is generated through fundraising, mainly at events, via annual appeals, working with corporate businesses, from general donations and also with the support of the community and trusts.
The Chronicle Sunshine Fund provides specialist equipment to children with disabilities in the North East of England. Individuals, groups, registered organisations, schools and hospitals can ask for support to improve the lives of children with disabilities aged from birth up until their 19th birthday.
This year we are supporting Hadrian School who provides a specialist education provision for children aged between two and eleven years with a range of additional needs including complex, severe learning difficulties and profound and multiple learning difficulties. The school is building a fully accessible rebound therapy centre that can be used by all pupils in order to develop their learning and encourage their development. They require an extensive list of equipment to use within the centre that will ultimately enable every child to use the facilities in a fun, educational and safe environment.
