It was built in 1926 as the largest musical instrument ever conceived. With 200 stops and 10,268 pipes it is internationally renowned as one of the greatest church organ in the world. After 90 years of continuous use in daily worship, it badly requires major restoration work to preserve it for generations to come.
Through our supporters' generosity, we have raised just over £600,000 so far and have carried out well over half the necessary refurbishments - thank you so much to our supporters for making this possible.
There are over £300,000 of outstanding repairs still to fund. Please do help us in whatever way you can so we can restore this magnificent instrument to its full glory, for the next century of organists and music lovers to enjoy.
