Story
Paladin is the only trauma informed high risk advocacy service for stalking victims in the world and we are approached by agencies from all over the globe seeking to learn from our bespoke service.
We know only too well that stalking is about fixation and obsession and stalkers can escalate to murder and victims pay with their lives. It’s why we call them murders in slow motion.
Despite victims repeated reports to the police, behaviours are not recognised as stalking and therefore the appropriate investigation, assessment of risk and subsequent risk management have not been put in place. Such cases have included the following murders and attempted murders:
Shana Grice - Sussex,
Alice Ruggles - Northumbria,
Zoe Morgan, Jenna Thomas, Rachel Williams – South Wales,
Barbara Yates – North Wales,
Joanna Brown, Julia and Will Pemberton - Thames Valley Police,
Caroline Parry – Gwent,
Anne-Marie Birch - Kent,
Helen Pearson - Devon and Cornwall,
Maria Stubbings, Jeanette Goodwin, Christine and Shania Chambers – Essex,
Clare Bernal, Arsema Dawit, Wendy Billings, Naudel Turner, Alison Morrison, Kirsty Treloar – Metropolitan Police,
Clare Wood, Sabina Akhtar, Tracy Jones – Greater Manchester,
Mary Griffiths – Suffolk,
Rachael Slack – Derbyshire,
Zoe Dronfield - West Midlands,
Natalie Esack – Kent,
Casey Brittle – Nottingham,
Becky McPhee – Merseyside,
Claire Entwistle, Jane Clough – Lancashire,
Hollie Gazzard – Gloucestershire.
