The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileWhilst there have been schools in Tarvin for well over 300 years the current Primary School was established in 1968 when the former infant and junior schools combined onto a new site on Heath Drive. Ever since the school has welcomed around 30 new pupils per year and has provided their early years education from age 4 to 11 before they move on to High School and beyond.
In recent years our school has grown to accommodate the additional pupils of the expanding village. Whilst we have a fantastic new extension, the school is having to work very hard with a meagre budget as our Cheshire postcode means that the annual allowance received from the Government is one of the lowest in England. That is where we are hoping you might be able to help!
Whilst the School is providing excellent standards of staffing and educational materials for the children it is the infrastructure that requires investment. In recent years funding has been secured for a new roof and a new garden facility. In addition the PTA is working tirelessly to fund a new sports pitch project. However, we still have so many projects we would like to deliver which we can't due to financial constraints.
A bicycle & scooter shelter scheme would help to alleviate the car congestion around the school at drop off and pick up times and will help to keep the children active. Air conditioning is badly needed in some of our older classrooms to cool the children down during the finer summer weather and a new reception and security system is also high on the priority list; to name just a few.
All of these projects can be delivered with the kind support of our past present and future families and the generosity of the people of Tarvin. If you can please help us to keep the villages most important asset a growing one.
Many thanks for your support!
