Story
As the result of the on-going fighting in Donbass in the east of Ukraine 2,5 mln people have been forced to flee the area. To save their lives and the lives of their loved ones, they left everything behind: their houses, their property and their employment. Today they are faced with a new challenge – they need to find permanent accommodation.
With a place to live, they will no longer be afraid of being homeless. Instead, they can find a job, their children can go to kindergarten and to school. These people can rebuild their lives and gradually return to normality.
British-Ukrainian Aid has teamed up with the European Association of Disability Rights to help 200 IDPs from Donbass find a new home in the Radisne village.
