Hi everyone,
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page and thanks for all your lovely big donations you're going to make
So I hear you ask, who are we? What are we doing? And most importantly, Why are we doing it?
Lets get the simple things out of the way first.
Who are we?
Jo is the task master and fitness fanatic of the group (she is also the one who came up with the idea of taking part).
I'm Phil the slightly stupid and chubby one of the group who is always up for a challenge.
Last, but not least, there's Katja, the budding cyclist of the group.
What are we doing?
In September over the course of three days we, along with twelve other riders, will be cycling from Farnborough in Hampshire to its twinned town of Meudon in France (a total of two hundred miles) the days are as follows:
Day 1 - Farnborough to Portsmouth, 48 miles to warm us up ready for;
Day 2 - Le Havre to Vernon a shattering and very scary 95 miles before;
Day 3 - Vernon to Meudon a paltry 62 miles. A final leg which we envisage to be cycled purely on adrenalin!
Now most importantly WHY????
We are doing this cycle for the charity 'Parity for Disability', which is a local charity in Hampshire, caring for children and young people with multiple disabilites. It strives to give these young people, their carers and families the opportunities to enjoy a quality of life that we have all come to expect. Parity for Disability needs to raise £50,000 every year just to survive and we, along with the other riders, hope to raise £5000 towards this total. So please, please give as much as you can. Thank you for your genorosity and time.
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Parity For Disability gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor us now!
Thank you all so much,
Jo, Phil and Katja
