Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In 2014, I decided to fulfil a lifelong goal to swim the English Channel, a personal accomplishment, but also affording me the opportunity to raise money for a cause I really believe is fantastic – The Willow Foundation.

https://www.willowfoundation.org.uk

Willow is the only national charity working with seriously ill young adults aged 16 to 40 to fulfil uplifting and unforgettable Special Days. These Special Days enable them and their families to reconnect and refocus on each other while enjoying an activity of their choosing. A day for them, a day about them and a day that will create memories they will all treasure forever.

With Australian, Trent Grimsey, holding the record for the fastest channel crossing in 6 hours 55 minutes the average solo crossing time takes 13hrs 27min.

I will personally cover all expenses for the swim, such as the pilot boat & CSA fees, so every pound donated will go directly to the charity and create more special days for those who need them.

If you are able, please support me in my swim and help Willow to continue offering special days for young adults living with life-threatening conditions such as cancer, motor neurone disease, cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy and Huntington’s disease.
