Well, WE DID IT!!!

We got to the top at 6.20am on Wed 16th July, after setting off for the final leg from the Gouter Hut at 12.15 am.  Unfortunately we had to scrap the acclimatisation plan due to the poor weather expected on our original planned summit day - we were advised to 'just go for it!' on the tues/wed, as the weather was predicted to be perfect - which it was.  I can honestly say it was the hardest thing i've ever done, but that the view from the top as the sun was coming up was worth every step - absolutely stunning.  Anyway, thank you so much to the best team mates anyone could have - Andy, Barry and Tracey - next stop the Matterhorn...! and thank you to everyone who has sponsored us - it means so much.
