CAMFED supports millions of vulnerable girls from rural communities across Ghana, Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe to attend school and to create the future they imagine - for themselves, for their communities, and for Africa.

Story

I am running 10 long kilometres to raise money for CAMFED, a charity dedicated to girls' education in Africa. 'Can Veronica do it?' I hear you ask. Well, I should just about manage the 10k, I'll have a back up team to carry me home at the end (aka boyfriend!) it's the fundraising that's the toughest bit. I'm trying to raise £1000......

Two thirds of the children in the world who are not in school are girls. Without an education, these girls face an inevitable lifetime of poverty and everything that goes with it: illness, exposure to HIV/AIDS, vulnerability to abuse and young motherhood.

Can you help me to make a difference? Just £25 is enough to support a girl in Ghana to school for a year.

Please sponsor me online. Any amount would be great but please try to give generously.

Thank you! x x
