My personal message:

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The money gets to our bursary fund faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!

The target amount would enable 3 women to go on a 2-week retreat at Tiratanaloka or more women than that to have some of their retreat costs paid

I've never been a runner so doing this half marathon will involve some real sweat for me - I started off managing to run from the retreat centre to the village (1 mile exactly!) but I couldn't quite make it back again...

Getting fit in your 40s definitely isn't as easy as getting fit in your 20s - surprise surprise. Running in the country roads in Wales is great though. Yesterday I was running while listening to the Beach Boys on my iPod and trying to pretend that a) it wasn't bucketing with rain and b) the world didn't smell of sheep poo. Hey, it worked!!

If you want to see how I'm progressing, you can have a look at my blog here

LATEST UPDATE! I completed the run in 2 hours and 20 minutes! It was a great experience and I can still walk! Thanks so much to everyone who sponsored me - that's what kept me going.
