Explore the Inca Trail, Peru · 1 October 2004 ·

We aim to never turn away a dog or cat in need of help, caring for them until their owners or loving new homes can be found, no matter how long it takes. We are champions for, and supporters of, vulnerable dogs and cats, determined to create lasting changes for animals in our society.

Story

We have just returned from a very successful - if arduous - Trek on the Inca Trail (including over the 14,000 ft Dead Woman's Pass).

To complement our efforts, Red, the Lurcher, has been doing his own PR work for Battersea on TV on several continents.

Although the minimum sponsorship has now been raised, any further donations to the Dogshome would be greatly appreciated by our innumerable canine and feline lodgers e.g.:

£10 will buy a toy for ten dogs
£15 will provide the cats with fresh litter for a day
£25 feeds over 100 cats for one day
£50 will feed over 100 dogs for a day

In addition to the those named below, I would also like to thank the Wellingtons, the Fehlmanns, and Stuart Donachie, as well as the Hawkins and Hutchinson Families.
