Venture Scotland runs social and personal development courses at bothies (mountain huts) in Scotland for 16-30 year olds with limited opportunities. The weekend residential courses are run by trained volunteers who lead conservation work and adventure activities. Longer term programmes, and locally-based follow-on activities are also offered.

My story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

On the 18th of May I will begin the Cape Wrath Challenge. The challenge is to complete 5 different runs over 6 days:

      Day 1 - half marathon,
      Day 2 - 5.5 mile hill run,
      Day 3 - 8.4 mile cross country,
      Day 4 - 4.2 mile beach run,
      Day 5 - REST!
      Day 6 - marathon.

I would like to use the challenge to help raise funds for Venture Scotland. What I ask of you is to donate generously to sponsor this fantastic charity. Venture Scotland should be able to continue their invaluable work without financial worry and I am prepared to suffer for a whole week to help achieve this.

In 2009, Venture Scotland is still seeking significant funds to keep their service running in difficult economic times.
