Marathon RelayGB 2012 · 4 May 2012

Brain Tumour UK has merged with The Brain Tumour Charity to become the UK's largest dedicated brain tumour charity. We fund research and offer support and information to those affected whilst raising awareness and influencing policy.

Story

The reason we decided to get involved with this is, we have a friend who through immense courage and bravery is living with a Brain Tumour and have been touched by other friends who are also living with Brain Tumours. When we saw the advert we thought it would be a great way to help raise funds for such a deserving cause. So as a team we will do our very best to raise as much money as we can. As well as taking time out to be involved in a World Record attempt for the most non-stop marathons.

We are Stage 6 Leg 8 of this Marathon Relay, come and cheer us on, we start in Milnthorpe at about 9.30 finishing in Grasmere at about 1.30 so if you see a bit of a convoy it'll be the support team with one of our team running through the Lake District. You can find the route by looking on the RelayGB page, We start in Milnthorpe and go towards Heversham then to Levens and then onto the Lyth Valley Road towards Winster and Bowness and along the Rayrigg Road to Ambleside then on to Grasmere. Where the next Stage 9 starts.

The event starts on the 4th May and ends on the 21st May with runners going through the night to keep the relay going.

Please donate as much as you feel you can, every penny counts.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
