Circus Appeal 2013 · 19 February 2013

Through a combination of undercover investigations, research, campaigns, political lobbying and education, CAPS aims to stop the exploitation of animals in entertainment, particularly in circuses, zoos and the exotic pet trade.

Story

The Government announced earlier this year, that the long promised ban on the use of  wild animals in Circuses, would come into force in 2015.

But the ban is under threat! A Government committee has advised Defra ONLY to ban elephants and big cats, meaning any other wild animal could still be used!

We must keep up the pressure on the Government and keep on protesting outside circuses, for the animals that remain in the big top.

In 2012, CAPS sent out 50,000 campaign leaflets supporting over 200 demonstrations across the UK, resulting in a drop in visitor numbers and some circuses going animal free!

We know that this action is working. Please donate today to our urgent Circus Campaign Fund.

It costs £8,000 every year for CAPS to create, print and send materials to supporters and carry out research into circuses, so every £1 you can give will make a difference for animals.

Please help end animal suffering in circuses. Please donate today. Thank you.
