On Monday morning 13 September 2010 at around 6.30am, the Captains Climb team reached the top of Mount Kilimanjaro. Extremely tired, cold but triumphant!
I would like to say a huge thank you to everybody who supported me and the Stepping Stones appeal by donating. You helped spur me on when I felt like stopping, so thank you! The climb has so far raised a staggering £300,000, which is amazing.
The team are now focusing on reaching the target of £1m for Velindre Cancer Centre’s Stepping Stones Appeal, raising awareness about lung cancer and funding research.
