Those of you who know me will already know that with the help of Styal Golf Club and all my family and friends I have helped to raise a total of £6,700 during my year as Lady Captain for the benefit of the Christie Hospital. Also, with my niece Erin we completed the race for life and raised a further £200 for cancer research. Not so long ago, my dear sister-in-law, Sue Hall lost her 4 year battle against breast cancer and we have all lost someone we love. However, this year many of my friends have had successful treatment. I have strived to raise as much money as possible to go towards Christie's breast cancer research in the hope that one day Christie's can reach its vision of a future without cancer.
