We aim to never turn away a dog or cat in need of help, caring for them until their owners or loving new homes can be found, no matter how long it takes. We are champions for, and supporters of, vulnerable dogs and cats, determined to create lasting changes for animals in our society.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This year Battersea Dogs & Cats Home celebrates its 150th Birthday!  150 years of never turning away a dog or cat in need of help.  Lots of wonderful work goes on behind the scenes including reuniting lost dogs and cats with their owners, or caring for them until new ‘forever families’ can be found for them, giving them love, shelter and the highest standards of kennelling and veterinary care.

We adopted ‘Duncan’ a beautiful (and amazingly cute) Spanish Mastiff pup when he was 10 weeks old from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.  He was abandoned at just 6 weeks old and cared for by his foster mum (Ann) who nurtured and cared for him giving him the very best start in life.

Because Battersea Dogs Home allowed us to have Duncan I wanted to give something back by raising money for them so in August I am taking part in a challenging Pony Trek across ICELAND!

Every penny you donate counts,

£10 will buy a toy for 10 dogs
£15 will provide the cats with fresh litter for a day
£25 will feed over 100 cats for one day
£50 will feed over 100 dogs for one day

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
