Cardiff Half Marathon 2016 · 2 October 2016 ·

Creating brighter todays and better tomorrows for the children of Wales. Our mission is to support the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales and the children and families within it. Every penny you raise goes towards supporting children who will need specialist and often life-saving treatment.

Story

Simba...Mufassa....Scar...........Elsa...................the one without the courage!? What do they have in common? They don't have a world record!

So, following the success of the fundraising for Velindre Cancer Centre by attempting the Guinness World Record for the fastest half marathon dressed as a superhero earlier in the year, I now have a new challenge...

I wanted to raise money for the Noahs Ark Charity for the Children's Hospital for Wales in Cardiff, and as their logo contain 4 animals, I've decided to attempt the Guinness World Record for fastest half marathon dressed as an animal!

The time to beat is 1 hour 22mins.

I contacted the Play Therapists at the hospital and they got the children on the ward to vote, and thankfully they voted for the lion (who's name is Rio) (not sure if he dances in the sand), not the giraffe!

So on the 2nd October I will be running the Cardiff Half Marathon dressed as a lion, to raise money for the Noahs Ark Charity!

Anything anyone can spare to help this great cause would be greatly appreciated, no matter how small. And if you're around on the 2nd October, come down and cheer!

Thanks all!!
