My story
Carl Llewellyn, 46, won the National twice – in 1992 on the giant (18.1 hh) Party Politics and in 1998 on Earth Summit. During his riding career he rode 995 winners, had five winners at the Cheltenham Festival, including the Mildmay of Flete and the Triumph Hurdle and he twice won the Whitbread Gold Cup. However it took three attempts for the first National win. Carl is now Assistant Trainer to Nigel Twiston-Davies
