Story

I became involved with Team Georgia after hearing all about Georgia from my Pam - Georgia's amazing Aunty.

Hearing all about such a brave little girl, you cannot help but want to be involved and do all you can to help.

Georgia was always smiling and remained a cheery and happy little girl, despite everything. She was an inspiration and bravely fought Stage 4 high risk Neuroblastoma, the most aggressive form of childhood cancer there is, with all she had, at the young age of 5.

In 2013, Georgia's family were given the amazing news that Georgia had beaten the cancer.

Sadly in August 2014 Georgia’s cancer had returned and she started further chemotherapy. Despite this, Georgia showed tremendous strength. She continued to smile and was always so happy and full of fun.

On the 16th December 2015, after a long and courageous fight, Georgia passed away holding her Mummy's hand; she was aged just 9 years old.

The pain of losing Georgia is unimaginably hard for her family and for everyone that had the privilege of being part of her life.

Georgia loved nothing more than helping others and is a total inspiration, showing us to be brave, even when you really don't want to be.

Georgia's family want people to remember Georgia for the amazing little girl she was 🌈

Team Georgia are once again going to take part in Race for Life - the first one that will be in memory of Georgia. It will be so very difficult that she isn't there doing the race with us all - but she would want everyone to smile on and enjoy the day.

Please donate to this cause - cancer affects so many people. We have to fight it and find a cure.

I'm joining Cancer Research UK's Race for Life this year. Please join the fight by digging deep and sponsoring me - it's quick, easy and totally secure.

Events like this are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me, we can unite and create an army that cancer can't ignore. By sponsoring me, we will beat cancer sooner.
