Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I think it was almost a year ago now that I decided to apply for this years London Marathon without actually holding out much hope of getting in. So it was rather a surprise when last October, just a few days after finishing the Robin Hood half marathon, that I received a letter telling me that I had got a place!

Unfortunately a good friend of mine who also applied wasn't quite so 'fortunate' and got his rejection letter the same day. So I've spent the whole of what has been a very very miserable winter/spring training on my own in the freezing conditions, and more often than not being sick and bed-ridden after my long runs! However there have been some very enjoyable runs along the way as well and I'm almost starting to like running...?!

So with most of the hard work done now, thankfully, it's time to try and raise some money for a great charity. Macmillan cancer support do a fantastic job helping with all the things that people affected by cancer want and need. They have looked after members of my family in the past and so I'd like to give something back to them.

If you can spare anything from a penny to £1m then it would be massively appreciated :-) If you can't or don't want to pay online but would still like to help then please text me or message me through Facebook and I'll put you down.
