Great Manchester Run 2008 · 18 May 2008 ·

We have a vision - a world where HIV holds no one back. We directly support 3000 people living with HIV across Greater Manchester and Liverpool, providing wrap around care and advice. We promote a better understanding of HIV, and challenge stigma and discrimination.

Story

This is getting to be habit forming!

2008 will be the third consecutive year that I will be running in the BUPA 10k Great Manchester Run and once again, my chosen charity is George House Trust. For 20 years, George House Trust has been providing vital support to people living with HIV/AIDS in the north west of England. But as a voluntary organisation, they need our continuing support to be able to help the rising numbers of people still becoming infected by the virus each year.

I know that the staff, volunteers and people depending on this amazing charity will be grateful for anything you can do to help, so please dig deep and sponsor me online. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: George House Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Last year, I managed to raise £640 which, when added to the Gift Aid reclaimed of £117 came to a fantastic total of £757 raised for this very worthy cause. Let's see if this year, together, we can beat last year's total.

Are you game? I'm up for it if you are!

Thanks a lot.
