Welcome to my page.
The time has come for me to take up the challenge.
I will be cycling 240 miles from St Austell to Bristol over three days for Children's Hospice South West. CHSW provides respite and palliative care for children with shortend lives. The charity run hospice's in Bristol, Barstaple and will soon open a third hospice in St Austell (hence the route!).
The care provided at CHSW is second to none. They have a team of dedicated and caring staff who provide support to children and their families through an exteremly difficult time. As you may know I have had the pleasure of working at the Bristol hospice (Charlton Farm) since it opened three years ago. I have seen first hand the real difference your donations make. The charity is funded almost entirely by public donations. I know that all staff at CHSW really appreciate every penny donated.
You may also know that I would not normally consider myself a keen cyclist or indeed a particularly fit person! I have put myself through hours of aches and pains in preperation for the big event. I have also paid £100 of my own money to cover the cost of the weekend. Every penny you donate will go straight to CHSW.
Last year 50 riders raised £50,000 for CHSW so lets hope this years 100 riders can raise a whole lot more. I really appreciate your support and generosity and know it will make a real difference.
