Story
Hi there and thank you very much for visiting my fund raising page.
The 26th of April turned into a very hot day for me to run my 1st Marathon. I had trained through the winter months in cold/wet/icy conditions and the heat really caught me out as I felt cramp starting at 18 miles and was"pole-axed" by it at 25miles and again at 400metres from the finish.
I completed the race proudly in 3hrs42mins - 12 minutes outside my target time, C'est la vie...
By achieving my own personal goal of running the London Marathon and chosing The Norfolk Hospice to run for, your sponsorship has helped contribute valuable funds to assist this really worthy cause.
I will keep running, I have entered next year's London Marathon and the Dereham 10 mile race on 17th May, but I promise not to ask you for sponsorship again, in fact the fund raising was much more difficult than the training and the race itself!
By the time I have collected the last off-line sponsorship monies, the total raised should exceed the £1,000 mark.
Thank you again for sponsoring me, I was really thrilled to receive your support ,this fabulous cause will continue to benefit and continue it's wonderful work thanks to people like us.
Thank you,
Carl.
