My story

I was first introduced to Elizabeth FitzRoy Support when I did my swim across the Solent. They provided me with fantastic support back then, in the form of publicity, encouraging e-mails and even turning up to see me off and cheer me in on the big day. What I particularly liked was that they didn't provide me with any unnecessary financial support (such as free vests etc), so ALL of the money that I raised went towards the aims of the charity.

So for that reason I have chosen to supprt them again when I attempt to run the Flora London Marathon.

My aim is to get round with minimal walking breaks. It will be hard, but the training will be harder as for the first time ever I need to get serious about my running and stick to a proper training plan. I am predicting aching legs, pain, sleepless nights, exhaustion and a suspension of my social life for four months. But it will be worth it!
