Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The flower arranging demostration by Jan Faulkner was an outstanding success. Many , many thanks to Jan, my family , friends, colleagues and the people of Saltburn and Danby/Castleton who gave me their support and made the evening a success. We raised £1374 and as Barclays Bank organised an amazing raffle I hope they will fund match and be able to contribute a further £750. Although I will still continue to raise funds my efforts need to go into increasing my fitness so hopefully you'll see me on the rods where you live. Thank you to everyone once again.

Made another £106 at the Table Top sale today. Thank you for all of your donations. People want real bargains so to make £106 from basically 50p and £1's is fantastic. June was a real treasure and stayed until the bitter end. Thank you. I donated what I had left to one of the chrity shops just so I wasn't tempted to do another one. After the Flower Arranging evening on Wednesday I'm going to start on improving my fitness. I know the money I am raising is going to a fantastic cause and will make a real difference.

My last fund raising venture!!

Jan Faulkner, a very talented teacher of flower arranging has kindly donated her services for a Charity Flower Arranging Evening.

It is at Huntcliff School, Saltburn on Wednesday 21st March with a 6.30pm for 7.00om start. It will include a raffle, including the flower displays, and tea/coffee and homemade cakes. Tickets are £6, just phone me on 01287660743 or email cjohnsonindia@gmail.com if you would like one sending.

I hope you can support me in this event. Barclays Bank, Saltburn is also involved and will fund match. So this has the potential to raise a lot of money for the thress charities.

Hope to see you there,

Carol

Fantastic. Thank you to everyone who has helped me to reach the minimum  fundraising total of £2800. I am going to  try to raise as much as possible for the three charities, so wish me luck, please continue to support me in my little ventures and thank you once again.

Thank you to Lee and his staff and all of his customers at Imagine hairdressers for your support with my raffle that has raised another £100. The winner was Shirley Coates. Hope you all have a fantastic Christmas.

The Xmas Fayre was a fantastic success and raised £291 and was definitely worth the hard work. Keith doesn't need to make any more candy-cane mice!!!!!Thank you to everyone for their support, especially, my little helpers Kaya, Chelsee, Katie and Ellie-Mae and my bigger helpers-Marilyn, Keith and Anne.

Last fund raising event tonight at Huntcliff School's  Christmas Fayre starting at 4.30pm.

I'll be selling Xmas crafts. Guess the number of corks in Santa's sack and a raffle so wish me luck. Thankyou to Kaya, Katie, Chelsee and Elie-Mae who have offered to help me- as well as Mrs Smith and Mrs Beacham.

A enormous thank you to the students at Huntcliff School who have donated £185 which was half of their collection from the Charity Day last week supporting Women V Cancer and other cancer charities.

The table-top sale on Saturday 19/11/11 raised £150.17.

Thank you to everyone who donated goods or came along to support me. I'm absolutely delighted even if I was a little stressed at the start. It's the first one I've ever been to so I now know what to expect. An even bigger thank you to Keith for helping make the candy cane mice and Father Christmas'.

My next fund raiser will be at the school Christmas Fayre on the 2nd December so wish me luck.

Thank you to everyone that has supported me. Ben(my son), Kate (my daughter) and her friend Lydia have just comleted (8/11/11) a sponsored bike ride from Newcastle to DanbyN.Yorkshie Moors). We set off at 6.45 am and arrived in Danby at 9.27pm. (About 80miles) I am so proud of them all and delighted they could join me. Thank you.

I am a 56year old teacher and have taught at Huntcliff School Saltburn for 21 years. I decided that I wanted to fulfil my ambition to take part in a sponsored bike ride whilst still fit enough to do so.  Women v Cancer is a charity close to my heart as my family, like many others, has been deeply affected by the devastating effect cancer can have on the family unit.

I would also like to prove one of my students wrong as he said 'She'll never do that'. So please support me and I will endeavour to raise the funds needed to provide vital monies to the three named Cancer Charities and chalk up a success for us more mature ladies.

I need to raise a minimum of £2800 of which £1400 is allocated to pay for the trip but I intend to fund this myself so that all of my sponsor monies will go directly to the three charities :Breast Cancer Care, Ovarian Cancer Action and Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
