Snowdon Horseshoe Challenge · 12 September 2009

No young person should feel alone. At Break, we support young people in, around and beyond care. Through fostering, homes, mentoring and wellbeing support. We help build confidence, create strong relationships, and will always be there with lifelong support and love. Put simply, we care differently.

Story

Well, I did it...

It was a fantastic day and we all made it to the top and back down again - and are all aching like made now, two days after the event...

The weather was amazing; hot and sunny, with clear views all around. The scenery is magnificent and it was worth the effort to get to the top just to see the stunning landscape. It wasn't an easy climb but very enjoyable and definitely worth doing.

Thank you so much if you have already sponored me, your support is hugely appreciated and means a lot.

If you'd still like to sponsor me, that would be great. Please click on the donate button and it will take you through the process - it's easier than climbing a mountain..........!

Just a bit of information for you -

Break provides -

Homes for children and young adults who, for various reasons, cannot live with thier own families.

Respite Care and supported holidays for children and adults with special needs - providing specailised care for children who have Autism, and giving thier families and carers much needed rest from looking after them so they can 're-charge their batteries.'

Day services for adults who have learning disabilites - stimulating, fun and creative activities and outings based in Sheringham, with Cluster groups across Norfolk to reach as many people as possible.

Support services and residential care for women who have mental health needs - helping to get women back into independent community life.

Residential Family Assessment Centres for families in crisis - families stay for up to twelve weeks and are supported and educated in parenting skills; Break is working to prevent such tradegies as the Baby Peter one.

Working for Break, I am privileged to see the immense commitment and care given by staff, and in witnessing the heart-warming successful outcomes of some of the service users. Every penny you give in sponsorship money will go to Break - making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable children, adults and families.

Once again, many thanks for your help,

Caroline
