My story
As part of this challenge we will be raising money for Diabetes UK since Carolines Grandma suffers from type 2 Diabetes. She was forced to retire early from a lifelong nursing career and is gradually losing her sight due to Diabetes complications. Her dreams of a happy retirement are yet to be realised.
However, this disease affects old and young alike and there has been an alarming rise in childhood diabetes in recent years. In the UK alone there are 2.3 million sufferers and even more undiagnosed. Despite all the medical research going on in this field, there is yet to be a cure. More needs to be done to help people suffering with this!
Please help us reach our target of £500.
