WE DID IT - THANKS TO YOU ALL!

Our £100,000 target has now been reached in celebration of our great friend and colleague Caroline Beaumont.  Caroline's Vision will now fund a two year research project into eye cancer to study the contribution of defects in DNA repair in controlling the response to anticancer therapy.  This is all thanks to the incredible efforts of everyone involved whether it was as a fund-raiser, supporter, sponsor or donor. We know that Caroline would have been overwhelmed by the response to the appeal and it was so fitting that Simon Dow, for whom Caroline rode out over many years, won the Caroline's Vision Celebration Handicap Stakes at Epsom Downs on 1st September when we presented the cheque to Barts Charity. Caroline was an inspiration to all around her and a very brave young woman who lived life to the full and made a lasting impression on all those who knew her. We believe we've done her proud.  On behalf of everyone at Epsom Downs Racecourse, Caroline's parents Chris & Bernie, her partner Terry and not least of all Barts Charity, a huge THANK YOU!
