Flora London Marathon 2008 · 13 April 2008 ·

The Prostate Cancer Research Foundation has two aims, the first to promote independent worldwide research into all aspects of prostate cancer; and the second to spread the crucial knowledge gathered from that research as far afield as possible, via an internationally recognised forum, attended by the world’s top prostate cancer experts. The Prostate Cancer Research Foundation is also the home of the Bob Monkhouse ‘Give a few bob’ campaign www.giveafewbob.org.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Here we are just before the start of the London Marathon, full of hope and vigour (and porridge). There are no photos of after, but be sure we don't look quite so fresh.

My time in the end was 4:44:26, quite respectable for a first timer. I managed to run all the way and have the blisters and cowboy walk to show for it.

I decided to run for Prostate Cancer, and as you can see, people have been very generous. This site is still accepting donations and I would welcome anything to support this good cause.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Prostate Cancer Research Foundation will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.
