Thanks for visiting our fundraising page. On the 12th October 2008 Kerry, Caroline and Felicity will be taking part in the Kingston 8 mile run to raise funds for the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Service at Kings College Hospital. Cystic Fibrosis is a genetically inherited multisystem disease which primarily affects the lungs and digestive tract. Most patients with CF have recurrent chest infections which damage the lungs and average life expectancy is currently around 32 years. For many patients this means frequent hospital admissions often for up to 2 weeks at a time, as well as a regular home treatment schedule and outpatient visits. Kings College Hospital is the regional specialist centre for people with CF in the south east of England. The funds we raise from this event will be used towards improving the facilities and service we provide to our patients as well as supporting our ongoing research programme. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: King’s College Hospital Charity gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor us now!
