Link believes all children have the right to a good quality education. We work with schools and communities in Ethiopia, Ghana, Malawi and Uganda. By sharing and developing skills we are bringing about long-lasting change, helping over a million children have a better start in life.

Story

During 2009 I am going to be completing:

1)  My first triathlon on 1st January,

2)  The Highland Fling 53 mile race from Milngavie to Tyndrum on the West Highland Way on 25th April,

3)  Edinburgh marathon on 31st May

4)  The Devil of the Highlands 42 mile race from Tyndrum to Fort William on the West Highland Way on 8th August

I will also hopefully be climbing Mount Kiliminjaro in the summer after going back to my school in Malawi for a return visit.

I am raising £2000 to have a teacher's house built for my school in Malawi.  Schools in rural areas struggle to get qualified teachers to go out there to teach and having a teacher's house available helps to encourage them.  It also means the school can teach up to Standard 8  if there is another teacher there and if enough schools in the area teach straight through to Standard 8 there is the possiblity of a secondary school being built locally.
