Story
Hi everybody and thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
On Sunday 26th October, I will be taking part in my first Great South Run (10 miles/16km)
How did it all start? Well, as most of you know, I am going to be 40 at the end of this month.
When I first started thinking about my big birthday, I wondered what I would like to do to celebrate it. After considering several possible options like have my dull hair dyed red, have a much needed facelift done or have Paul's face tatooed on my left calf, just to name a few, I realised that what I really wanted was a new challenge. Wendy is to blame for the nature of the challenge for she is the one who made me put on my running shoes back on after a 10-year break, when we started training for Race For Life last June. The second culprit is Jackie for taking me on as her new running partner every Monday night. Thanks girls, I am loving it! And last but not least I must thank Paul for giving me some time to train every week.

But, as you have probably worked it out, the point of this web page is to try to raise money for the MS Society, my chosen charity.
May I suggest that if you intented to send me a lovely birthday card on the 30th
, you could instead make a small (or big!) donation to the MS Society.
Many thanks,
Caroline
Alys will also be taking part in her 2nd Mini Great South Run on the 25th and this year she is doing it for a local charity (CFK) that helps children with cystic fibrosis.
Can you help her raise more than last year? (£88 for The British Red Cross) So check her own fund raising web page on www.justgiving.com/alyshantraissmith
UPDATE:
All went well on the 26th and I completed the run in 1h35m01s. Thanks for your support and generosity!
