DEFERRING TO BUPA GREAT NORTH RUN 2009

Due to some bad news about my MRI scan results I have been referred to an Orthopaedic surgeon with a view to surgery. I am unsure at the moment what this means but it does mean I have had to defer my GNR plans for 2008.

I have deferred my place to 2009 and will definately be running it, if I get the all clear medically. Once I've figured out how to change to event on my page, I will update it to BUPA Great North Run 2009.

Thank you to everone who has donated so far, I am only sorry I have been unable to complete the task on this occasion.

Hello,

I'm running the Great North Run on October 5th 2008.

Training already started over a month ago and I hope to finish the run in under 3 hours, or perhaps as time goes on just get around without an injury :)

I am trying to raise some money for the hospice that provided such sensitive and supportive pallative care to my uncle Alan last year and continues to provide support for my aunt.

St Teresa's Hospice only receive 30% of direct government funding for the services they provide, the rest comes from donations and fundraising.

I know times are tight at the moment, but if you feel you would like to donate, no matter how small, I know your money will be used to provide exceptional care and support to seriously ill people and their families.
