FOR NOEL AND JES

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please give a minute or two of your time to read this blurb and give as much money as possible.  I have pledged to raise £3000 but would love to raise more, so please, dig deep and sponsor me online.

I intend to trek to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro and at the same time raise money for the MS Trust, a charity that my son and I have utilised in the past.  My son, Noel, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 11 years ago when he was only 21.  Although he is now very ill he remains a tremendous inspiration to me.  Jes, a good friend of Noel, who also had MS sadly passed away recently.  The sad news has spurred me on further to succeed in my quest. 

I asked Noel if he would like to say a few words here and this is what he asked me to write.  My mother is the best in the world.......mother smiles....... but I am so worried about her.......eh?........ she is either having some sort of mid-life crisis.......... mother has glazed look in her eyes and stares ahead blankly......or she has gone completely mad.........mother nods in silent agreement .............. Never having done anything like this before, she decides to trek to the summit of the highest free-standing mountain in the world, but I am so, so very proud of her.........a single tear falls onto mothers cheek.....oh come on!! that must be worth a deeper dig into your purse/wallet........I shall miss her terribly whilst she is away in October, but will be happy as long as she returns safely and raises lots of money in the process.

I intend to keep a training diary, so please come back regularly and I will put a link to my blog so you can follow my progress.  I shall of course also keep a diary of the actual trek and will post with pics on my return.
