It works to overcome social disadvantage through the provision of Children's Services, Older People's Services, Money Advice, building community cohesion and employment and training advice. My story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

I am hoping to raise £3,000 to support Birmingham Settlement’s day nursery, which provides a vital service to families living in the Ladywood constituency of Birmingham.

Ladywood has the highest level of child poverty in the UK, with 81% (that's 28,420) of children close to or already living in poverty.

Although I have run four half marathons, this was my first full marathon. It was a fantastic event and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole day.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Birmingham Settlement gets your money faster and, if you’re a taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Birmingham Settlement needs all the help it can get to continue working with deprived families. That's why I've chosen to run the London Marathon for them. The picture shows me at the nursery with Sir Adrian Cadbury, their President.
